텔레그램, TON에서 호스팅되는 분산형 웹사이트 지원을 위해 인앱 브라우저 출시

메시징 앱 텔레그램은 7월 31일 블로그 발표를 통해 새로운 인앱 브라우저를 소개했으며, CEO 파벨 두로프(Pavel Durov)가 7월 초 발표한 미니 앱 스토어에 추가되었습니다.

Messaging giant Telegram has announced the launch of an in-app browser that will support decentralized websites hosted on The Open Network (TON).

메시징 거대 기업 텔레그램(Telegram)이 TON(The Open Network)에서 호스팅되는 분산형 웹사이트를 지원하는 인앱 브라우저 출시를 발표했습니다.

The browser, announced in a blog post on July 31, will allow users to access TON Sites, a platform for creating decentralized websites that was introduced in 2023. Users can set up a web server that makes these sites accessible on the TON blockchain.

Initially, TON sites were accessible via specific entry points called TON Proxies, but the integration of the in-app browser will make it easier for users to navigate these sites. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov highlighted the significance of the browser, stating that it will open “the world of blockchain-based web to almost a billion users.”

According to the announcement, 500 million of Telegram’s 950 million users interact with mini-apps every month. With the launch of the mini app store, all of their mini-apps will be available in one place.

발표에 따르면 텔레그램 사용자 9억5000만명 중 매달 5억명이 미니앱을 사용한다. 미니 앱 스토어가 출시되면 모든 미니 앱을 한 곳에서 사용할 수 있습니다.

Additionally, the so-called “Stars,” a unit of payment within the mini-app ecosystem, can now be sent to friends. The in-app token, introduced on June 7, allows mini-apps to accept payments, with the tokens able to be swapped for TON (TON), the TON network’s native token.

또한 미니앱 생태계 내 결제 단위인 '스타'를 이제 친구에게 보낼 수도 있다. 6월 7일에 도입된 인앱 토큰을 사용하면 미니 앱에서 결제를 수락할 수 있으며, 토큰은 TON 네트워크의 기본 토큰인 TON(TON)으로 교환될 수 있습니다.

Telegram mini-apps have seen massive success, with applications like Notcoin (NOT) and Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) attracting millions of players globally. Hamster Kombat, in particular, has become one of the fastest-growing Web3 applications, having drawn over 300 million users since launching in March 2024.
