In total, there are three coins that you'll need to collect throughout the game. You'll need the Man Coin, the Woman Coin, and the Snake Coin. You'll most likely find the Man Coin first, which is located inside the safe in Room 206. Whilst you could stand there and kill every enemy (which is unnecessary unless you're going for achievements), it is recommended to just run into the pool, get the coin, and then run straight back out.
