According to a report by Bloomberg, which cites sources familiar with the matter, Ripple recently made an attempt to acquire Circle at a valuation of between US$4 billion and US$5 billion. However, the offer was rejected by Circle, the report adds.

The company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David Schwartz, called it a “defining moment”, while Cassie Craddock, the Managing Director for Ripple UK and Europe, said the move was a major boost for the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
