On January 20th, 2025, VTuber Ouro Kronii made a post to X / Twitter[1] about the launch of $Kronii, a meme coin named after the VTuber. The post included an image of Kronii herself holding up a sign that said "Buy $Kronii." Some fans of the streamer believed that her account had been hacked to promote a scam coin.

The stream gained over 279,000 views in a day.

For example, on January 20th, 2025, X[3] user @DoomSteve posted a parody Coffeezilla thumbnail that garnered over 4,100 likes in a day.
