EVM-compatible blockchain Kaia has officially gone live on mainnet, according to a statement from the Kaia team.

Formed through a merger between L1 chains Klaytn and Finschia by Asian social media giants Kakao and LINE, respectively, Kaia aims to become a major Web3 ecosystem that has already onboarded over 400 partners.

Kaia goes live on mainnet, paving the way for Mini dApps in LINE

On Aug. 29, 2024, the Kaia blockchain, the latest EVM L1 with sub-second block time, is launching its mainnet operations. The network succeeds the Klaytn and Finschia blockchains and is set to become the backbone of the Web3 ecosystem in Korea.
