The integration, which was first deployed on Soneium blockchain with Astar Network’s ASTR token, is a critical component in unifying liquidity and user experience across Ethereum, Optimism, and Polkadot networks.

This dual integration enables ASTR, the native token of Astar Network’s layer-1 blockchain on Polkadot, to move seamlessly across Optimism’s Superchain networks. These chains include Base, OP Mainnet, and the upcoming World Chain.

Optimism is rapidly expanding its Superchain, which is powered by the modular and open-source OP Stack. Their goal is to create a single, interconnected ecosystem where users and developers can seamlessly interact across various chains.
