In the previous article, I touched upon how Avalanche (AVAX) was hinting at a potential shift in structure on the daily. There was that upper level of liquidity to be collected, and with the way AVAX had been moving, it had every reason to go get it.
However, if you zoom into the 4H chart, you'll notice something interesting. While the daily showed a clear structure, the 4H was still in the midst of a familiar pattern - price accumulating liquidity.
This is setting up the potential for a strong breakout (or breakdown) as the price pressure builds with each touch.
For those new to this concept, think of it like a coiled spring. The longer and tighter it coils, the more powerful the release.
And to be clear, we're not talking about price predictions here, but rather the technical setup and its implications.
Avalanche: A Scalable Smart Contract Platform
Let's not neglect the fundamentals.
Avalanche isn't merely another "Ethereum killer." It's a scalable blockchain platform renowned for rapid transactions, minimal fees, and its innovative use of subnets, essentially custom-built chains operating in parallel. This makes it an ideal choice for DeFi developers who demand performance without compromising decentralization.
I recall when I first experimented with an AVAX-based dApp. Everything functioned flawlessly - smooth, swift, and responsive. It felt like an optimal vision of crypto in 2025.
The Current Setup (And That Deceptive Trendline Below)
Now, returning to the chart, while the daily is still alluding to a bullish structure shift, the H4 clearly depicts an accumulation of liquidity on both ends.
What stands out most is the trendline underpinning the current price. If you extend it, you'll observe that price has been reacting to it, respecting it, and touching it, almost too flawlessly.
And precisely because of this, I believe it won't endure.
Trendlines serve as psychological comfort zones. When too many people visualize and trust it, price tends to break it. The liquidity resting below might be the fuel needed to sweep the lows before any substantial upward push.
So What Now?
Here's the essence. We might witness a short-term move downward to consume that lower liquidity. If that occurs, I'll be closely monitoring smaller timeframes for a change of character (ChoCh), signaling the bulls' return.
Conversely, if AVAX simply rises from here, then we'll follow its ascent. In either case, we remain adaptable.
For instance, if we see a lower time frame change of character as price moves lower, then that will increase the probability of the price continuing lower.
Ultimately, we're working with probabilities, structure, and scenarios. At the end of the day, price can and will do what it wants. Stay observant, adjust accordingly, and may your trades be filled with success!
