According to the press release, the ASI Alliance aims to augment its computing prowess with this expansion while simultaneously reducing reliance on centralized providers such as Amazon.

Several cryptocurrency exchanges extended support for the automatic migration of the Ocean Protocol native token to FET on July 1, but Coinbase was not among them. On June 27, the centralized crypto exchange announced that it would “not facilitate the migration” process of “OCEAN to FET or FET to ASI on behalf of users.” While Coinbase's lack of support could be seen as a sign of resistance from centralized entities, other centralized exchanges, including Binance, Crypto.com and KuCoin, did participate in the token migration.
