In response to perceived negative remarks regarding Tether's stablecoin, USDT, CEO Paolo Ardoino has issued a strongly worded statement. Ardoino's defense comes amidst a lawsuit against Ripple by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple's recent announcement of its own stablecoin launch.

These comments have been interpreted as veiled attacks on Tether, which currently dominates the stablecoin market with a market capitalization of approximately $111 billion. A Tether spokesperson responded by expressing well wishes for Ripple's new stablecoin but declined further comment.
