Stack's Bowers Galleries is pleased to announce that their May 2025 Showcase Auction, a 375-lot sale focused on United States federal coinage, is now open for pre-sale bidding at the auction link above. The auction is anchored by a rare Mint State 1851 Augustus Humbert $50 "slug" produced by the United States Assay Office of Gold. Among the very finest graded by NGC at MS62, it is an important numismatic relic of the California Gold Rush.
