Blockchain protocol Polkadot has announced a new Ledger-based mobile application for DOT users. The application will connect to the hardware wallet and feature enhanced security mechanisms.

According to an X post on June 28, the new application will integrate with Ledger, allowing users to access the Polkadot ecosystem. The application will work with the relay chain and parachains.

The application enables users to verify transaction details by including metadata in transaction signatures. For devices with limited RAM, the application can still function by utilizing a Merkle tree to reduce the metadata size.
