Meme coins have largely fallen out of favor in 2024 as traders largely prefer trading more standard assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, two lesser-known tokens—Fartcoin (FART) and Moodeng (MOODENG)—may be showing signs of life.

Both are at interesting technical points.

For Fartcoin, analyst Altcoin Sherpa noted that it keeps showing “weird deviations” below the range low on the 4-hour chart but then is quickly recovering.

According to him, each time it has dipped below support it has been followed by a strong upside move. So, perhaps another rally is coming.

“Hot air rises,” he joked, referencing the token’s name.

Meanwhile, Moodeng is at a more standard technical point but it’s one that could lead to more volatility.

Sherpa said that it’s at an “interesting spot” as it’s now at a lower high but it’s still holding up some potential.

He added that while small-cap meme coins usually fade after a pump, Moodeng is showing that it could push further—if it can break above recent highs with some volume.

However, the $0.30s could be a strong shorting zone, especially for scalpers.
