Emphasizing the strategic benefits of partnering with Kenya, Marathon Digital CEO Fred Thiel highlighted the country's pivotal role in the evolution of digital currencies.

The initiative comes as energy costs and network mining difficulty continue to escalate. This week, Bitcoin's mining difficulty rose 1.48% at block height 844,704, reaching 84.38 trillion. The increasing difficulty coincides with a spike in the network's hash rate, indicating the entry of more miners.
