Panic gripped residents of Punjab's border district of Amritsar in the wee hours of Thursday after they heard explosions and saw flashes of light illuminating the skyline and a power shutdown amid the escalating tension between India and Pakistan following 'Op Sindoor' launched by Indian armed forces targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday.
The villagers held that there was panic all around as amid the explosions, a part of a missile fell in village Jethuwal around 1.30 am following which they informed the police.
