In January 2024, ClearSign announced that it had secured an engineering order for an additional retrofit burner for a flare from an energy company for use in California. The burner is expected to be delivered in the third quarter 2024 and the final product is expected to be installed at the customer's site in the San Joaquin Valley of California in the fourth quarter 2025.

This burner is part of a continuing effort by the energy company to further reduce emissions and meet new air permit requirements. The company's existing burner, which was installed in 2023, has enabled it to achieve significant reductions in NOx and CO emissions.
