Anurag Bhushan, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Sweden, the MEA said on Monday.

"He is expected to take up the assignment shortly," the MEA stated.

Bhushan, an Indian Foreign Service Officer of the 1995 batch, is presently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry.
