Writer’s Lyrical Analysis of “Atlantic” by Sleep Token | Song Reaction – Detailed Ambiguity

Greetings and gratitude: Today is our first day delving into Sleep Token’s discography with the song “Atlantic” from their second full length album, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, released in 2021. I am super excited to explore Sleep Token’s lyrics. I think several of the artist’s songs demonstrate an excellent command over lyricism. I think “Atlantic” is probably on the more ambiguous end of Sleep Token’s songs. In today’s video, I will be focusing on the technicality of the storytelling, as a sort of masterclass to try to reverse engineer different ways that might land at a haunting poignant result. As always, I am not here to claim what the lyricists are saying, because I cannot speak for them. Then I’ll apply the lyrics to my own experience and how they impact me with my own experiences.
