This issue is the first question of the last AMA rollup: a discussion on the future of stablecoins and the design of aave stablecoins. The discussion has been summarized into a short report. (https://wenli.substack.com/p/69c) I was doing research a while ago and was surprised by the roadmap of Shiba Inu coin: It turns out that they have been building their own complete ecosystem around the Shiba brand, including their own Layer 2 (Shibarium), their own exchange (Shibaswap), their own DAO (Doggy DAO), NFT, Metaverse... and of course their own stable currency - "SHI". Seeing that meme coins are also issuing stablecoins, I realized that from public chains such as NEAR, Tron, and Wave to DeFi head protocols Aave and Curve—everyone is planning to issue their own stablecoins, and Luna’s collapse seems to have no impact at all. In the current context of increasingly thin liquidity, centralized giants are making acquisitions everywhere, while the top decentralized DeFi protocols, in addition to busy squeezing the liquidity space of other protocols, are also scrambling to enter other tracks - especially stablecoins (*Protocol-owned-stablecoins, POSCs). What kind of "new normal" will this be? 1. Why do you want to issue your own stablecoin? Analyzing from the "dissipative structure" basket of "Wenli", it is very clear. 2. “External energy” and “internal energy” in the Crypto world. 3. MakerDAO’s “inherited deficiencies” and algorithmic stablecoins’ “fancy tricks” 4. Aave’s stablecoin (GHO) seems to be the latest effort in this “third way” direction? 5. Create GHO based on pure credit: Will the "facilitator" "become a monster" like Terra/Luna? 6. Can Aave’s “let a hundred flowers bloom” stablecoin issuance plan design really diversify risks? 7. The first principle of “diversification”: Who is the victim? 8. Aave’s unique advantages as a “lending platform”. 9. Will a “stablecoin world war” happen? Extended reading: 1.
