Despite Bitcoin trading down over the last month following the halving, this is actually completely normal, when looking at past Bitcoin cycles.

In every previous cycle, Bitcoin has traded flat or down for months following the halving, before moving exponentially upwards, peaking 12-18 months later.

This cycle will be no different, if you look at the Bitcoin halving from first principles thinking, what is going to play out over the next year is obvious.

This is the latest prediction from MicroStrategy founder and executive chairman, Michael Saylor.

In his most recent interview, Saylor asserts that demand for Bitcoin is only going to increase as time goes on. This, coupled with the recent halving which just cut Bitcoin’s supply by 50%, is a recipe for a face-melting rally upwards.

However, Saylor strongly believes that more investors need to spend ample time studying Bitcoin as a new asset class. The effects of the halving won’t be seen immediately, but over time, the compound effect of cutting the supply in half adds up.

Saylor believes that even the legendary Warren Buffet, will soon come to realize Bitcoin’s tremendous power as a digital asset if he were to spend just enough time studying it.
