Exodus 1:10-14 SPOILER ALERT: Kendrick Lamar did not coin this phrase but has reminded us of who we are in God. When Israel was in Egypt, they began to outnumber the Egyptians and became a threat to them. So, the new king started to afflict and oppress them "the more". The text says, "the more" Israel was faced troubled, "the more" the multiplied and expanded. So, the king ordered the Egyptian midwives to kill the boy babies when they were born but keep the girl babies. When the midwives got to the Hebrew women, they produced so fast the midwives could not keep up and had to testify THEY NOT LIKE US!
