Zeus Network has (ZEUS) infrastructure acts as a bridge, allowing Bitcoin to be tokenized and transacted on Solana without altering Bitcoin’s original protocol.

In a groundbreaking achievement, Zeus Network has successfully validated the first Bitcoin transaction on the Solana blockchain. This historic milestone marks a significant step in bridging the gap between two distinct blockchain ecosystems.
According to a recent announcement by Zeus Network, its infrastructure has enabled the first-ever Bitcoin transaction to be processed on Solana. This development opens up new possibilities for Bitcoin holders to utilize Solana's fast and cost-efficient network for their transactions.
Bitcoin and Solana operate on separate blockchain protocols, with Bitcoin using proof-of-work and Solana combining proof-of-history with proof-of-stake. To achieve this integration, Zeus Network's infrastructure facilitates the tokenization of Bitcoin, allowing it to be transacted on Solana without altering Bitcoin's original protocol.
BREAKING: @solana can now validate Bitcoin transaction!
Here’s what happened ? ??
The process entailed replicating Bitcoin's blockchain on Solana using two core components of the Zeus Network — the ZeusNode Operator and the Zeus Program Library. Through this mechanism, Bitcoin transactions are verified, locked, and pegged to Solana's ecosystem. This integration creates a pathway for Bitcoin liquidity to flow into Solana-based decentralized finance applications.
Future integrations planned by Zeus Network include onboarding 1% of Bitcoin liquidity onto Solana by mid-2025 and incorporating other UTXO-based assets into their ecosystem, such as Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Kaspa. By that time, ZeusNode is aiming to be handling approximately 2,250 BTC.
Moreover, the network plans to open-source the Zeus Program Library in early 2024, inviting developers to build applications on its infrastructure. This initiative aims to attract decentralized application (dApp) projects and enhance cross-chain interoperability within the Solana ecosystem.
