ZeroLend's ZERO Token Embarks on a Trading Odyssey Across Multiple Exchanges and Lynex DEX

ZeroLend's ZERO Token Trading Goes Live on Multiple Exchanges and Lynex DEX

May 6, 2024 - ZeroLend, a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol, has announced the commencement of trading for its ZERO token on eight centralized exchanges and one decentralized exchange (DEX).

Exchange Listings and Trading Details

The ZERO token is now available for trading on the following centralized exchanges:

  • OKX
  • Bybit
  • KuCoin
  • Bitget
  • MEXC
  • HTX
  • Gate.io
  • Poloniex

Additionally, the ZERO token can be traded on the decentralized exchange Lynex, which serves as the native liquidity layer for the Linea blockchain.

About ZeroLend and the ZERO Token

ZeroLend is a DeFi lending protocol that operates on multiple layer-2 (L2) blockchain networks, including Linea, zkSync, Blast, and Manta. The ZERO token is the governance token of ZeroLend and plays a crucial role within the protocol.

Staking and Incentives

One of the key features of the ZERO token is its staking mechanism. By staking ZERO tokens, holders can earn rewards, including the ability to participate in governance decisions and access potential future incentives from other protocols.

Token Generation Event (TGE) and Tokenomics

The token generation event (TGE) for the ZERO token occurred last month, during which the tokens were created on the respective blockchains. However, the distribution of tokens commenced at a later date.

35% of the total ZERO token supply was distributed during a private sale, while 53% will be allocated to the community over four stages: airdrop (18%), liquidity (10%), emissions (20%), and treasury (5%). The remaining tokens will be allocated to advisors (7%) and the ZeroLend team (5%).

To ensure long-term sustainability, the majority of ZERO tokens will be distributed within one year of the token launch, with emissions halving every 12 months thereafter. In total, 78% of the supply will be distributed within the first 12 months, while the remaining 22% will be released gradually over the following years.

The total supply of ZERO tokens is 100 billion, with approximately 25 billion tokens currently in circulation.

Significance of DeFi Lending

Lending plays a vital role within the DeFi ecosystem, providing essential liquidity for trading and other financial transactions. ZeroLend is one of the top 15 DeFi lending protocols by total value locked (TVL), demonstrating its importance within the sector.

Multi-Chain Deployment and Future Prospects

ZeroLend is notable for its multi-chain presence, being active on six different blockchains, including layer-1 and layer-2 networks. This aligns with the growing trend of DeFi protocols expanding to multiple chains to enhance accessibility and interoperability.

As the adoption of layer-2 networks continues to increase, protocols like ZeroLend that are focused on L2 deployment are well-positioned to capture market share. The ZERO token plays a central role in this growth trajectory, providing governance rights and incentives for users and stakeholders.
