"There is a question about the role of XRP and RLUSD, but in conclusion, it will not be"

output: "output: Both XRP (Ripple) and Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD will boost each other's demand, according to an interview with the Korean media at "Ripple APEX2025" in Singapore.
The interview was attended by Fiona Murray, Asia-Pacific general manager, and Marcus Infer, senior vice president of Ripple X. Among the topics discussed was the role of XRP and RLUSD, and Infer concluded that both will be in high demand.
"The stablecoin market is about $350 billion, and it is growing every year," said Infer. "In XRPL, demand will increase further because XRP is an exchange asset."
He also noted that the gas token of the XRP Ledger is XRP, and as the market grows, the priority of using XRP for gas is clear. Gas tokens are tokens that are used as user fees when using Ripple's blockchain.
Regarding the Korean market, there was an interesting exchange. When asked about entering the Korean payment market recently, Murray replied that Korea is not yet friendly in terms of regulation.
"We expect Korea to have many opportunities in the future, given the roadmap for institutional investors, but we have no immediate plans to enter the Korean payment market," she said.
However, she mentioned that Korea is a place where the retail market is growing rapidly, and they have recently started working with Vidax.
"We are expecting the institutional market to grow rapidly if regulatory changes occur, which is why we have started working with Vidax to expand the ecosystem and community in Korea," she explained.
In other news, Ripple is aiming to launch its stablecoin RLUSD by the fourth quarter of 2024. The company is currently in conversation with several institutions regarding the coin's integration into their products and services.
