Ripple might be gearing up for one of its boldest moves yet, buying Circle, the company behind USDC, the world's second-largest stablecoin
According to TheCryptoBasic, AI models ChatGPT and Grok have shared their predictions on how XRP price could react if, reportedly, settles on buying Circle, the company behind USDC, the world’s second-largest stablecoin with a $61 billion market cap.
If this goes through, it could completely shift the stablecoin landscape and have a major effect on XRP.
Here’s the possible #XRP price if #Ripple successfully acquires Circle.
According to ChatGPT, if the integration goes smoothly, XRP could head towards $3.50 to $4.50 in a base-case scenario.
This assumes the deal closes in the $6 to $8 billion range and quickly brings USDC into its ecosystem.
But things get even more exciting in ChatGPT’s bullish case. If also ramps up global adoption of Ripple Payments and both USDC and its own stablecoin, RLUSD, are successfully integrated, then XRP price could push as high as $6 to $10.
This kind of momentum would come from increased utility and broader use of XRP in settlement systems.
According to Grok, in its baseline view, XRP could land between $3.50 and $4.50.
While Grok does point out that stablecoins like USDC don’t directly move XRP’s price, it does say that adding them to's network could boost XRP’s volume and usefulness.
If Ripple Payments takes off and keeps its role as a bridge asset for cross-border transfers, then Grok says XRP price could hit anywhere from $6 to $8.
This is assuming massive growth in global payment flows.
So why is reportedly after Circle in the first place? It’s all about scale.
Owning both RLUSD and USDC would give a big edge when it comes to stablecoin support and settlement services. That kind of dominance could attract more banks, fintech firms, and payment providers to its ecosystem.
It would also mean isn’t just using XRP, it’s controlling a large share of digital dollar liquidity. If they play it right, XRP could become more useful and more valuable over time.
Moreover, TheCryptoBasic's tweet thread has sparked a lot of hype on X. It's clear that the market is closely watching to see if this deal can materialize.
While nothing is confirmed yet, just the possibility of acquiring USDC is already fueling speculation on what this could mean for the future of XRP.
