VVS Finance, Crypto.com, and DeFi Yield: Bridging the Gap for Everyday Users
Jun 19, 2025 at 05:02 am
VVS Finance is simplifying DeFi by partnering with Crypto.com, allowing users to spend yield farming rewards via prepaid cards. Meanwhile, tokenized US Treasuries are gaining traction as collateral.

VVS Finance, Crypto.com, and DeFi Yield: Bridging the Gap for Everyday Users
DeFi is becoming more accessible! VVS Finance is teaming up with Crypto.com to let users spend their yield farming rewards in the real world. Plus, tokenized US Treasuries are shaking up the DeFi landscape.
VVS Finance & Crypto.com: Making DeFi Spending a Breeze
VVS Finance, the biggest DEX on Crypto.com's Cronos blockchain, is rolling out an “Auto Harvest” feature for Crypto.com Prepaid Cardholders. This means you can now automatically convert your yield farming rewards into spendable USDC (or a local stablecoin) and use them anywhere Visa is accepted. Talk about convenient!
According to Crypto.com's Esther Wong, their Prepaid Card is a “vital bridge” between crypto and fiat. This new integration lets VVS Finance investors “automatically claim their yield farming rewards” and use them for everyday purchases. It's like turning your DeFi gains into coffee money without the hassle.
Plus, there are extra perks! Stake $400 worth of CRO, the Cronos token, and you can earn up to 5% cashback on purchases and discounts on subscriptions. Auto Harvest sends your VVS yields to your Crypto.com wallet daily, as long as you've earned at least $6.
VVS Product Lead Yotei calls this a “breakthrough in making decentralized finance accessible to mainstream users.” It's all about simplifying the DeFi experience.
Tokenized US Treasuries: A New Collateral Option
Beyond VVS Finance, there's another trend impacting DeFi yield: tokenized US Treasuries. Exchanges like Deribit and Crypto.com are now accepting BlackRock's tokenized US Treasury fund (BUIDL) as trading collateral for institutional clients.
This allows traders to use a less volatile, yield-bearing asset as collateral, which can lower margin requirements. BUIDL already holds a significant chunk of the tokenized Treasurys market. These tokenized Treasuries are emerging as an alternative to traditional stablecoins because they generate yield.
While there are concerns about centralization (a few firms dominate the tokenized US Treasury market), the integration of BUIDL by major players like Frax Finance and its potential use on platforms like OKX and Binance signals a growing acceptance of real-world assets (RWAs) in DeFi. Maple Finance has also expanded into the Solana ecosystem to offer DeFi yields to institutions.
The Future of DeFi Yield: More Accessible and Diversified
The trends are clear: DeFi is becoming more user-friendly and integrated with traditional finance. VVS Finance is simplifying access for retail users, while tokenized US Treasuries offer institutions new collateral options and potential yield sources. It's an exciting time to be involved in the world of decentralized finance!
So, whether you're topping up your Crypto.com card with VVS yields or exploring tokenized Treasuries, the future of DeFi yield is looking brighter (and more accessible) than ever. Happy farming!
