Tron founder Justin Sun has confirmed to be the owner of the largest wallet holding Donald Trump’s TRUMP memecoin, granting him access to an exclusive May 22 dinner with President Trump at a private golf club near Washington, D.C. The meal is a reward for being one of the top 220 token holders.
Honored to support @POTUS and grateful for the invitation from @GetTrumpMemes to attend President Trump’s Gala Dinner as his TOP fan!As the top holder of $TRUMP, I’m excited to connect with everyone, talk crypto, and discuss the future of our industry. 🇺🇸

The TRUMP token leaderboard was finalized on May 12, while Sun only disclosed his involvement on May 19, sparking curiosity among those following the project.
"Delighted to announce I'll be attending President Trump's exclusive Gala Dinner at a private golf club on May 22nd as part of the TOP 220 $TRUMP token holders," Sun wrote on Friday.
"I'm honored to show my support for President Trump and grateful to Get Trump Memes for the invitation. I'm also excited to connect with everyone, talk crypto, and discuss the future of our industry."
Furthermore, Sun's ties to Trump-related crypto ventures run deep. Earlier this year, he reportedly spent $75 million via World Liberty Financial, a company backed by Trump's sons, and now serves as an adviser to the firm.
"Mark Uyeda's appointment as acting SEC chair after Trump's intervention in February 2024 has also brought renewed attention to the case against Sun, which was paused at the time," a report by The Block noted.
The report by The Block also adds that the case had been pending since 2021, when the SEC sued Sun for allegedly selling unregistered securities through Tron and the cryptocurrency exchange Huobi.
However, the case was postponed after Trump intervened and appointed Uyeda, a Republican known for his views on crypto and administrative law.
Rep. Glenn Ivey questioned the timing, saying, "It's no coincidence that the case was abruptly halted just as Trump is openly campaigning for reelection and touting his administrative powers to intervene in the Biden administration's policies."
Sen. Elizabeth Warren also criticized the GENIUS Act, which Trump signed in December 2023, warning that it enables crypto-linked corruption.
The dinner has also drawn attention for its guest list, which includes major crypto figures like Chainlink's co-founder, and contributors to Hyperithm, MemeCore, and Kronos Research.
