Asset Breakdown
Bitcoin (BTC) continues to be the primary driver of institutional interest, with $867 million flowing into Bitcoin products this week. This is the second-highest weekly inflow for Bitcoin this year.
While Ethereum (ETH) saw some price appreciation recently, its weekly inflows remained low at $16 million.
On the other hand, Sui (SUI) outperformed other altcoins with $11.7 million in inflows, positioning it as the second most-popular asset. This also pushes SUI past Solana (SOL) in terms of YTD flows—$84 million for SUI versus $76 million for SOL.
Solana had outflows of $3.2 million in the latest week, and overall, altcoins excluding SUI saw outflows of $2.8 million.
What’s Driving the Flows?
Several macroeconomic factors are contributing to the sustained institutional demand and price momentum across digital assets.
These include the:
Rising M2 money supply globally
Stagflationary risks in the U.S.
Adoption of Bitcoin by several U.S. states into their strategic reserves
These trends are likely to continue shaping the narrative in the coming months.
