Sui Network Validators Load Up SUI Coins Ahead of Potential Price Spike
Sep 20, 2024 at 04:00 pm
New developments in the Sui Network are generating major discussion in the crypto community, with notable personalities highlighting the network's rapid rise.

Crypto influencer MartyParty has highlighted the rapid accumulation of SUI coins by new validators in anticipation of a potential price increase.
According to MartyParty, this development is reminiscent of the institutional markup observed in the Solana ecosystem, where early participation in the validator system drove up the token price quickly.
In a tweet on Monday, MartyParty shared his observations regarding the Sui Network’s growth and the role of validators in the network'sᴊs upcoming price performance.
“New SUI validators are loading up before the price gets higher. Remember validators must aquire (sic) large stakes to participate in the network, to accept and use $SUI and $USDC – institutional markup similar to @solana – expect @SuiNetwork marketcap to approuch (sic) $5b in the short,” the crypto influencer stated.
In the Sui Network, validators play a crucial role in securing the network and facilitating transactions. To participate in the network and accept tokens like SUI and USDC, validators must acquire large stakes in these assets.
This dynamic encourages early participation by institutional investors and other major players in the crypto market to secure lower token acquisition costs and avoid higher prices later on.
As MartyParty points out in his commentary, the role of validators in the Sui Network is particularly significant in the context of the broader crypto market.
According to the crypto influencer, both the Sui and Solana networks are positioned as critical infrastructure for the future internet.
“These 2 networks are not here to mess around. These are the rails of the future internet,” MartyParty remarked.
Among the key developments contributing to Sui’s growing popularity is the upcoming availability of Circle’s USDC on the Sui network.
This integration was previously covered by CNF, highlighting how USDC will enhance DeFi liquidity and expedite transactions for developers and users.
With the addition of USDC, the Sui ecosystem is set to benefit from increased efficiency, making it an attractive platform for decentralized finance applications.
Presently, the Sui ecosystem has expanded to accommodate over 85 decentralized applications, showcasing the network's strength in the blockchain and DeFi domains.
The increasing number of dApps indicates greater developer interest and involvement in the network, reinforcing Sui’s competitive presence in the industry.
Moreover, Sui's collaboration with ONE Championship, the world’s largest martial arts organization, further attests to the network's growing significance.
As reported earlier, this collaboration will see Sui's blockchain technology integrated into ONE Championship's merchandise and mobile gaming endeavors, highlighting practical, real-world applications of the Sui blockchain.
Meanwhile, popular cryptocurrency analyst iWantCoinNews has commented on Sui’s recent performance, acknowledging the recent price increase but questioning its sustainability.
“SUI pumped hard, but what’s next?,” the analyst remarked, using a prior price run-up as a benchmark to anticipate a slight retrace to between $1.50 and $1.30.
In a worst-case scenario, the analyst does not expect the price to fall below $1.15. “If the price goes below $1.15, I would consider the current bull trend to be over,” the analyst stated.
At the time of writing, SUI is trading at around $1.44, up 5.88% over the last 24 hours, with a daily trading volume of $705.96 million.
