Sui Blockchain Outage Causes SUI Token to Drop 5.6%
Nov 21, 2024 at 09:06 pm
The Sui blockchain, supposedly a viable rival to Solana, was down for over two hours today, causing its native SUI token to drop 5.6%.

Solana’s supposed rival, the Sui blockchain, experienced downtime for over two hours on March 8th, impacting transactions and leading to a 5.6% drop in its native SUI token's value.
The layer-1 blockchain, touted as a "Solana Killer," encountered an issue where its last block was created at 09:15 AM UTC, halting further block production. This prevented SUI holders from sending the token during the outage.
According to CoinGecko, SUI's price dropped from $3.56 at the time of the宕机 to a low of $3.36. At the time of writing, its price is $3.64.
"X account of Flow Finance, a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Sui network, reported that the blockchain was facing problems "concerning validator operations."
The Sui network is back up and processing transactions again, thanks to the swift work from the incredible community of Sui validators. The 2-hour downtime was caused by a bug in transaction scheduling logic that caused validators to crash, which has now been resolved.を読んでください: Solana wallet Phantomが"重大インシデント"でダウン
"Rest assured, the Sui team is actively working on a resolution. Please note that all your funds are completely SAFU and secure," the X account added.
Meanwhile, the Sui status site currently reports "All Systems Operational" and adds, "v1.37.4 patch has been rolled out on Mysten Validators and announced publicly for immediate rollout."
An update from Sui posted to X stated, "The 2-hour downtime was caused by a bug in transaction scheduling logic that caused validators to crash, which has now been resolved."
