Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls
Jun 12, 2025 at 07:49 pm
This article provides an update on the stock market, including mining stocks and other stocks that hit 52-week highs.
The IndiGo flight was enroute to Ahmedabad from Patna when it had to hold at a higher altitude due to an aircraft in the landing configuration on the runway at Ahmedabad, according to an IndiGo spokesperson.
"This resulted in a delay in the IndiGo flight’s arrival and a missed approach into Ahmedabad. Subsequently, Ahmedabad closed its operations for 30 minutes for maintenance, which further impacted the IndiGo flight’s landing," the spokesperson added.
After Ahmedabad's operations were suspended, IndiGo issued an advisory to its passengers regarding the delay in its flight's arrival.
"Dear Valued Passenger, we are writing to inform you that due to technical issues at Ahmedabad Airport, the IndiGo flight 6E 608 from Patna to Ahmedabad is unable to land as planned at 9:00 AM IST. The flight is currently holding at a higher altitude to await clearance for landing," IndiGo said in a statement.
"We understand that this delay may be inconvenient, and our ground staff at both Patna and Ahmedabad airports are working hard to provide passengers with updates and assistance throughout the flight's delay."
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this delay, which is entirely outside of IndiGo’s control. Our crew and cabin crew are fully trained and prepared to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers on board," the statement added.
After Ahmedabad's operations were suspended for 30 minutes, IndiGo updated passengers that the flight will be landing soon.
"Good news! Ahmedabad Airport has now closed for 30 minutes of maintenance, and IndiGo flight 6E 608 from Patna to Ahmedabad will be landing shortly. We will keep you posted with further updates."
Finally, after more than five hours of delay, the IndiGo flight landed in Ahmedabad at 12:00 PM IST.
"Finally, some great news! IndiGo flight 6E 608 from Patna to Ahmedabad has landed safely in Ahmedabad at 12:00 PM IST."
