Space and Time, a blockchain project supported by Microsoft, has officially launched its public, permissionless mainnet

Introducing zero-knowledge (ZK)-proven data infrastructure to the crypto ecosystem.
Space and Time, a blockchain project backed by Microsoft, has unveiled the public and permissionless mainnet for its Proof of SQL engine, introducing a critical piece of zero-knowledge (ZK)-proven data infrastructure to the crypto ecosystem.
Developed by MakeInfinite Labs, the network aims to transform how decentralized applications can access and verify blockchain, crosschain, and offchain data, rendering it usable by smart contracts in a decentralized manner.
As revealed by Cointelegraph in March, the platform’s Proof of SQL engine — a sub-second ZK coprocessor that generates cryptographic proof for every database query — is now live and open for global validator participation.
Key takeaways:
Space and Time’s mainnet is now live and permissionless, enabling global validator participation.
The platform uses zero-knowledge proofs for verifiable onchain, crosschain, and offchain queries.
Major institutions and partners include Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery, Chainlink, ZKsync, and Sui.
Native token SXT will launch on May 8, 2025.
Over 30 validators participated in the testnet across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
A new paradigm for onchain data
The launch marks a pivotal step for onchain development, enabling smart contracts to query large volumes of data securely using cryptographic proofs.
Prior to this, applications had no way to query basic user data from a database of blockchain activity without introducing security risks and tampering, отметили co-founder Scott Dykstra.
Now, with Space and Time’s new infrastructure, developers can build apps with built-in cryptographic verification, improving data transparency and reducing centralized dependencies.
The platform indexes data from major blockchains like Ethereum and makes it accessible through a decentralized network of validators. Its tooling is already integrated by top-tier crypto builders and cloud service providers.
Institutions participating in the Space and Time ecosystem include Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud's BigQuery, Web3 data provider Chainlink, ZK-rollups platform Zksync, and new blockchain platform Sui, among others.
The platform’s native utility token, SXT, will launch on May 8, 2025, and will be used for staking and voting on network parameters.
After launching its testnet in December 2023, Space and Time brought together over 30 validators for the deployment of its mainnet. These validators, located across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America, played a key role in testing and deploying the network.
