Solana (SOL) Targets New ATH as Grayscale Files for ETF

Four whale wallets withdrew over 185,000 SOL from Binance amid price gains, signaling strong market movement and institutional interest.

Major crypto holders, known as "whales," have been making substantial withdrawals of Solana (SOL) from Binance, especially considering the asset's price gains.

According to data from blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, four large wallet addresses moved over 185,000 Solana (SOL) tokens, valued at approximately $42.46 million, from the cryptocurrency exchange within hours.

Whale Activity Highlights Strong Market Movement

Blockchain data shows a series of large-scale SOL withdrawals from Binance.

The largest transaction was from a wallet ending in "w6tR," which withdrew 100,010 SOL, valued at $22.46 million at the time of the transfer. Three other wallets followed with notable withdrawals: 46,103 SOL ($10.81M), 20,897 SOL ($5M), and 18,500 SOL ($4.2M).

Whale wallets are known to house large crypto holdings and their movements can indicate market trends. These withdrawals may signal institutional investors' interest in holding SOL outside centralized exchanges.

SOL Technical Analysis Shows Bullish Momentum

Market analyst @CryptoJelleNL highlights SOL's bounce from the 200 exponential moving average (EMA). The token broke out of a falling wedge pattern, suggesting potential price appreciation. The analyst predicts a rally to new highs following the breakout.

CoinGecko data shows SOL trades at $236.57, up 5.02% over 24 hours and 0.27% over 7 days, with a total trading volume of $10.65 billion.

Institutional Interest with Grayscale ETF Filing

Grayscale's application for a Solana ETF marks another development in SOL's market presence. Crypto analyst @seth_fin points out this institutional development and technical analysis suggesting further upside potential.

Not financial advice ?

The ETF filing indicates growing interest from mainstream finance in providing regulated SOL exposure to traditional investors.

Together, the whale activity, technical breakouts, and institutional developments provide a comprehensive view of SOL's current market dynamics, with trading data and on-chain movements shaping the asset's trajectory in the cryptocurrency markets.
