Solana (SOL) Price: Navigating Resistance and Support Levels

Jun 27, 2025 at 03:58 pm

Solana's price fluctuates amid market shifts. Key support levels and the rise of Solaxy offer insights for investors. Let's delve into SOL's price action!

Solana (SOL) Price: Navigating Resistance and Support Levels

Solana (SOL) has seen its share of ups and downs lately. This article summarizes the key price movements, resistance and support levels, and exciting developments within the Solana ecosystem.

Solana's Price Struggles and Key Support Levels

Recently, Solana faced selling pressure, dropping nearly 25% from its May highs. Currently trading around $140.99, SOL has been testing a critical support zone between $126 and $131. This zone is significant because it aligns with the Fibonacci Golden Pocket and the bottom of a descending trend channel. Holding this support is crucial for preventing further declines.

After bouncing from this support area, Solana aimed for the $150 resistance level, representing the upper boundary of the current trend channel. However, the overall market structure remains bearish, characterized by lower highs and lower lows since forming a double top pattern at $186.80 in May.

For a genuine trend reversal, SOL needs to reclaim resistance levels at $158 and $168. Failure to break above these levels risks making any upward movement temporary.

Network Metrics: A Mixed Bag

Solana's network fundamentals present a mixed picture. The supply of stablecoins on the network has decreased from $12 billion in April to $10 billion this month, accompanied by a 6.3% drop in stablecoin addresses. Despite this, stablecoin transactions rose 2.2% to $178.8 million, and adjusted transaction volume increased by 42% to $92.4 billion.

However, Solana's DeFi ecosystem has weakened, with total value locked (TVL) falling 15% over the last 30 days to $18 billion, underperforming Ethereum's 3.28% TVL drop during the same period.

Competition in the DEX Market

Solana has also experienced increased competition in the decentralized exchange (DEX) market. Its 24-hour DEX volume of $1.6 billion trails behind BSC’s $5.95 billion and Ethereum’s $2.17 billion. This decline coincides with weakness in Solana’s meme coin sector, which has seen its total market capitalization fall from over $15 billion to $9.2 billion.

Solaxy ($SOLX): A Solana Layer 2 Solution

Amidst these fluctuations, an exciting development has emerged: Solaxy ($SOLX), a Solana layer 2 blockchain. SOLX has gained significant traction, surging 60% following its DEX launch on Uniswap and Raydium. Solaxy aims to address Solana’s congestion issues by utilizing off-chain computation and transaction bundling technology.

With a goal of achieving 10,000 transactions per second (TPS), Solaxy promises faster speeds, lower fees, and improved reliability. The project has already raised $58 million in its presale and is strategically positioned to enhance Solana’s ecosystem. The main network is scheduled to launch on July 7, and the team has hinted at listings on major exchanges, which could further boost its value.

Strategic Investments in the Solana Ecosystem

Solana-focused digital assets treasury company, Sol Strategies, has launched its Strategic Ecosystem Reserve (SER) and acquired 52,181 Jito (JTO) tokens. This move aims to strengthen Solana's infrastructure and validator economy. Sol Strategies will fund the SER with revenue from their Solana validators, aligning with their core SOL treasury. This investment highlights the ongoing commitment to Solana’s growth and development.

Final Thoughts

Solana's price action is currently a mixed bag, with key support and resistance levels playing a crucial role. While facing challenges in the DEX market and fluctuations in network metrics, innovative solutions like Solaxy and strategic investments are contributing to the ecosystem's growth.
