Solana (SOL) Network Activity Spikes as $100 Million Flows into the Blockchain
Oct 08, 2024 at 08:00 pm
Solana [SOL] has witnessed a major inflow of funds into the network that reflected the rise in the blockchain’s adoption and usage.

Solana [SOL] saw a major capital inflow into the network, reflecting the rising adoption and usage of the blockchain. This development could be considered optimistic, indicating increasing investor trust in Solana.
But will this episode influence the token’s price positively?
Solana’s new achievementHighlighting an interesting development within the Solana ecosystem recently, IntoTheBlock noted that over $100 million was bridged from all other chains to Solana in the last 7 days. This also included more than $70 million from Ethereum.
Since this appeared to be a large-scale fund inflow into the network, AMBCrypto checked Artemis’ data to learn more about the blockchain’s network activity.
Our analysis showed that after a brief dip, Solana’s daily active addresses began to rise again. Its daily transactions also remained quite stable throughout the last 30 days, reflecting its high usage and adoption once more.
Apart from this, Solana’s performance in the DeFi sector seemed optimistic as its TVL increased over the last month.

How will SOL be impacted?Considering that a lot was happening within the blockchain’s ecosystem, AMBCrypto then aimed to check on SOL to see if all the factors were having any impact on the token’s price action.
We found that the SOL bears were leading the market. The token’s price fell by over 7% in the last week. In fact, in the last 24 hours alone, the token saw a 3% price decline.
At press time, Solana was trading at $144.03 with a market capitalization of over $67 billion. Adding to the concerning narrative, while SOL’s price dropped, its trading volume increased by over 40%, hinting at a continued price decline.
Nevertheless, investors seemed to be gaining confidence in the token. This was the case as SOL’s weighted sentiment moved into the positive zone, indicating a rise in bullish sentiment.

Therefore, we checked Solana’s daily chart to learn more about where the token was headed. Despite the bullish sentiment rising, the technical indicator displayed a bearish advantage in the market.
The token’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) also registered a downtrend. These indicators suggested that SOL might drop to $127 in the coming days.
