Solana Meme Coin Creators Brawl for Token Pump

May 14, 2024 at 08:46 pm

In a unique promotional stunt, creators of the Solana meme coin, FADELIVE, engaged in a livestreamed boxing match, donning balaclavas and Everlast gloves. The initial "Friendly Fades" fight quickly escalated, leading to a $30,000 market cap increase but abruptly ended due to a lost tooth. Aiming for a $69,000 market cap to list on Raydium, the creators fell short but left the door open for a possible rematch, with X and Kick accounts remaining active.

Solana Meme Coin Creators Punch It Out to Pump Token Value

In a bizarre spectacle to promote their Solana meme coin, FADELIVE, two anonymous creators donned balaclavas and Everlast boxing gloves for a livestreamed boxing match. Amid flying punches and the echo of grunts in a tiled dining room, the pair aimed to boost their token's market cap beyond its initial $30,000 valuation.

The livestream, initially billed as a playful "Friendly Fade," quickly escalated into an intense brawl. Fists flew, and tension mounted as the fighters grappled on the floor. However, the fight abruptly ended when one contender lost a tooth, raising concerns about their well-being and the need for medical attention.

Their audacious plan was to reach a $69,000 market cap, a threshold that would have qualified their token for listing on Raydium, Solana's decentralized exchange. However, despite their efforts, the viral success they sought eluded them. Unlike Tyson Fury, who reportedly earned an estimated $150 million after his weekend fight with Alexander Usyk, the FADELIVE creators' earnings fell far short of such astronomical figures.

It remains uncertain whether the creators will re-enter the ring for a rematch. Their X and Kick accounts remain active, hinting at the possibility of a second round. For the time being, the individual known as Red Shorts has emerged as the undisputed Solana boxing champion.

This unusual marketing stunt underscores the lengths to which some individuals in the cryptocurrency space will go to promote their creations. While it may have generated some interest, it is unclear whether it will have any lasting impact on FADELIVE's value. However, it serves as a reminder of the volatile and often unorthodox nature of the crypto market.
