Solana and Aptos Set New Records With Highest Number of Transactions in a Single Week
Aug 18, 2024 at 08:00 am
In the rapidly evolving world of blockchain technology, Solana and Aptos have set records for the highest number of transactions in a single week.

Solana and Aptos have set records for the highest number of transactions in a single week among the top blockchains, according to recent statistics shared on Artemis. Both Solana and Aptos outpaced Tron, Near Protocol, Sei, Base, and BNB Chain.
Solana led the way with an impressive 273 million transactions this week, followed by Aptos with 197 million transactions. Solana's market cap is $83.8 billion, while Aptos's market cap is $6.93 billion.
Solana and Aptos have topped the transaction charts for the past week, with Tron, Near, Sei, Base, BNB Chain, SUI, Polygon, and Injective also making notable appearances among the top blockchains.
Artemis, a platform that tracks fundamental metrics for crypto assets, compiled this list based on transaction numbers, average daily active addresses, and fully diluted market cap. Among the top blockchains, Tron and Near Protocol recorded 48.4 million and 40.03 million transactions, respectively.
Solana's leading position is driven by its high throughput and low transaction costs, which make it a preferred choice among crypto users. It boasts 1.61 million active addresses and a fully diluted market cap of $83.8 billion. Aptos, though newer, stands out with 197 million transactions, 96,000 active users, and a market cap of $6.93 billion.
