The Smarter Web Company PLC, a UK-listed technology and digital services provider, has expanded its Bitcoin (BTC) treasury holdings with a fresh acquisition of 23.09 BTC

The Smarter Web Company PLC has expanded its Bitcoin treasury with a £1.85 million acquisition of 23.09 BTC, the company disclosed on Monday.
The UK-listed technology and digital services provider, which also provides services such as broadband, mobile, and energy, made the purchase at an average price of £80,126 per BTC.
This brings the company’s total BTC holdings to 58.71 BTC, which was accumulated at an average purchase price of £77,326, representing a total investment of £4.54 million.
The move is part of Smarter Web’s “10 Year Plan,” which includes a digital asset treasury strategy with a primary focus on Bitcoin. Since earlier this year, Smarter Web has also accepted direct payments in Bitcoin.
Smarter Web’s buy is part of a broader trend in which companies holding BTC on their balance sheets have been aggressively expanding their positions in recent months.
Another UK-listed entity, Abraxas Capital, made headlines in mid-April with a major commitment to crypto exposure, acquiring nearly 3,000 BTC for an investment of over $250 million.
This momentum mirrors the aggressive accumulation seen in the U.S., where microstrategy is known for its significant crypto treasury strategy.
In a recent 13F filing, Strategy disclosed the addition of 7,390 BTC to its balance sheet in mid-May, bringing its total holdings to 576,230 BTC, valued at approximately $556 million. At the time of the report, Strategy’s BTC holdings made up nearly 99% of its entire equity portfolio.
