Sleep Token – Are They the Future of Heavy Metal?
Nov 28, 2024 at 07:06 pm
So what should those festivals do about it? Download's head honcho Andy Copping has been on record as saying he has to find newer bands or the festival will die.

Sleep Token have announced a string of UK arena dates for November 2024, including a show at London’s The O2 on 22 November.
The masked collective will be touring in support of their upcoming fourth album, which is set to be released later this year via Spinefarm Records.
Tickets for the Sleep Token arena tour will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, 28 February. A limited number of presale tickets will be available from 10am on Wednesday, 26 February.
The full list of Sleep Token UK arena dates is as follows:
20 - First Direct Arena, Leeds
22 - The O2, London
24 - Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham
25 - OVO Hydro, Glasgow
Speaking about Sleep Token’s upcoming arena tour, vocalist Vessel said: “The UK has always held a special place in our hearts, so to be able to return and play these iconic venues is a dream come true.
“We’ve been working hard on putting together a show that will be unforgettable, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans.”
Earlier this month, Sleep Token shared a cryptic teaser video on social media, which featured a snippet of a new song and the message: “The fourth begins.”
The band’s last album, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, was released in 2021 and went to Number 1 on the Official UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
In a four-star review of Sleep Token’s recent show at O2 Academy, Birmingham, MetalTalk’s Andy Shaw wrote: “An absolutely stunning performance, Sleep Token are one the great live bands around at the minute.
“You must catch them somewhere soon in a smaller venue because they will be in arenas soon.”
