Sleep Token bares its soul once again – new single “Damocles” now streaming

The ever-enigmatic British alt-metal phenomenon Sleep Token has dropped its third single “Damocles” from the upcoming album “Even In Arcadia”, due out on May 9th via RCA / Sony Music. This latest track follows the already released singles “Caramel” and “Emergence”, building anticipation for what promises to be another emotionally charged release.
British rockers Sleep Token are getting ready to release their highly anticipated third album, "Even In Arcadia," on May 9th via RCA / Sony Music. Ahead of the album's arrival, the band has dropped the third single, “Damocles,” which continues to showcase Sleep Token’s unique brand of introspective alt-metal.
The new single follows the previously released tracks, “Caramel” and “Emergence.” While “Caramel” hit hard with an unflinching honesty, “Damocles” takes a softer, more ballad-like approach—yet lyrically, it’s still brutally honest.
The song delves into the weight of constant pressure, something which frontman Vessel may be feeling more and more of as the band climbs the musical ranks. It’s another introspective piece from the band, seeing them peel back another layer of the artist’s internal struggles and pour them straight into the music.
Sleep Token are also gearing up for a busy year on the road. The band will be performing at several major European festivals this summer, including Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany, as well as the legendary Download Festival in the UK. They will also be heading to the US for a full-blown tour in September and October.
