Sleep Token's Even In Arcadia Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart

We're here to speak on another one of their albums, though—their latest Even In Arcadia. It's only been out for about a week, and it's already doing better than others of its ilk.

Sleep Token's new album Even In Arcadia has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 127,000 equivalent album units sold for the week ending March 31, 2023. It's the biggest week for any rock album in nearly a year and the biggest week for any hard rock album in nearly two years.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units are made up of album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from the album.

Even In Arcadia's 127,000 first-week equivalent album units are comprised of 73,500 album sales, 53,000 SEA units and 500 TEA units. The album sold 47,000 vinyl units, marking the largest vinyl sales week for a hard rock album since Luminate began sales tracking in 1991. It's also Sleep Token's second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, following 2021's An Introduction To ... Sleep Token.

The album's lead single, "Highway Patrol," also hit No. 1 on the Hot Rock + Alternative Songs chart this week. It's Sleep Token's first No. 1 on the chart, and it becomes the first song by a new artist to top the Hot Rock + Alternative Songs chart in 2023.
