Singapore-Based Web3 Platform Galaxis Secures $10 Million in Pre-Token Launch Funding
Galaxis, a Singapore-based Web3 platform specializing in non-fungible token (NFT) utility, has announced the successful completion of a $10 million funding round in anticipation of its upcoming token launch. The fundraising effort attracted notable investors such as blockchain data provider Chainlink, domain name service Ethereum Name Services (ENS), venture capital firm Rarestone Capital, Taisu Ventures, and Nick Johnson, co-founder of ENS.
In addition to the investments, Galaxis's recent sale of over 11,000 'Galaxis Engines' through its node sale further contributed to the total financing. The platform has established itself as a key player in the NFT space, enabling creators and brands to introduce NFT collections and engage with their communities.
Galaxis boasts a track record of collaborations with high-profile celebrities, including DJ Steve Aoki, actor Val Kilmer, and NBA star LaMelo Ball. Over the past two years, the platform has facilitated the sale of over 225,000 NFTs, generating more than 32,000 ETH (approximately $100 million) in secondary sales.
"The next step is to see the use of our native GALAXIS token supercharge the ecosystem," stated Andras Kristof, CEO and co-founder of Galaxis. Kristof, who is also credited with installing the first Bitcoin ATMs in Singapore, emphasized the platform's belief in the transformative potential of NFTs beyond the realm of hype and speculation.
Incubated by CoinMarketCap, Galaxis aims to simplify the creation of engagement and reward mechanisms for communities using NFTs. By eliminating the need for third-party tools, the platform empowers individuals and brands to engage with their communities through a built-in economy tailored to NFT ownership.
The successful fundraising round and Galaxis's impressive growth trajectory indicate a burgeoning ecosystem for NFT utility beyond the realm of digital art and collectibles. As the platform prepares for its token launch, it anticipates the acceleration of mass adoption and the unlocking of the true value of NFTs across various industries.
Galaxis's mission aligns with the broader trend of Web3 innovation, which seeks to decentralize online services and empower users through tokenized economies and community-driven governance. As the Web3 space continues to evolve, platforms like Galaxis are poised to play a pivotal role in unlocking the full potential of NFTs and fostering a more inclusive and interconnected digital landscape.
