Shibarium Celebrates First Year With New Features

Shiba Inu's marketing lead, Lucie, recently announced via X (formerly Twitter) that Shibarium has introduced a significant new security feature.

Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 solution, Shibarium, is introducing new features to enhance security and reduce the SHIB token supply as it celebrates its first anniversary.

Shibarium now includes a ‘Security Score' for contracts deployed on the network, which is a significant addition. This score, ranging from 1 to 100, evaluates the safety of smart contracts. SolidityScan, a smart contract vulnerability scanner, is used to assess contracts based on several parameters, including criticality (critical, high, medium, etc.) and gas use.

Moreover, Shibarium has introduced ShibTorch, an auto-burning feature inspired by Ethereum’s EIP-1559 upgrade. ShibTorch improves upon this concept by locking transaction base fees in a burn contract, allowing users to trigger burns once a sufficient amount of BONE (the native token) has accumulated.

When triggered, BONE is converted to SHIB on the Ethereum network, and the SHIB tokens are permanently burned, reducing the total supply.
