Don't Miss: Elon Musk's Net Worth Drops As Tesla Stock Slides Further
Among the world’s richest people, Bernard Arnault, the chairman and CEO of luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, took the No. 1 spot on the 37th annual Forbes richest people list, which was released on Tuesday. Arnault's net worth is estimated at $341 billion.
Arnault's rise to the top was fueled by the staggering growth of LVMH, which houses fashion houses like Dior and Louis Vuitton. In March, LVMH's market value surpassed $500 billion, making it the world's most valuable publicly traded company.
Arnault's vast fortune surpasses that of Jeff Bezos, the founder of e-commerce giant Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), who had held the title of the world's richest person for four years. Bezos's net worth is estimated at $113 billion.
The top three wealthiest individuals are closely followed by Bill Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), with a net worth of $104 billion. Rounding out the top five are Elon Musk, the CEO of X (formerly Twitter) and Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), and Warren Buffett, the chairman and CEO of investment firm Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKa). Musk's net worth is estimated at $90 billion, while Buffett's is approximately $91 billion.
Crypto founder Satoshi Nakamoto would be in the 10th richest position in the world if they were a single person.

Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto?
Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym used by the unknown person or group who created Bitcoin, a decentralized cryptocurrency.
Nakamoto published a paper on cryptography in 2008 and released the software for Bitcoin later that year. They mined the cryptocurrency’s first blocks in 2009, setting the foundation for the digital currency's decentralized nature.
Despite their crucial role in shaping the cryptocurrency landscape, Nakamoto’s true identity remains a subject of speculation and debate in the crypto community.
Over the years, several candidates have been proposed, including cryptographic pioneer Hal Finney, computer scientist Nick Szabo, and Australian academic Craig Steven Wright. However, all have either denied the claims or lacked conclusive evidence to support them.
Finney, who died in 2014, was the first to receive a Bitcoin transaction.
“Hal was the best candidate. He was involved in cryptography and had the technical expertise to create Bitcoin. He also lived close enough to Mount Baldy to endure the cold and discomfort of mining the cryptocurrency's first blocks,” one user remarked.
Another user added, “Elon Musk started Bitcoin in 2008. He had the vision and the resources to launch such a revolutionary technology.”
Despite the lack of clear evidence, the search for Satoshi continues to fascinate the crypto community.
“No single person could develop and sustain such a project without a collaborative environment. It had to be a group effort from the start,” another user stated.
