Rumble Invests $17.1M in Bitcoin as a Preventive Measure Against Inflation

Nasdaq-listed video-sharing platform Rumble has taken a major step into cryptocurrency by using $17.1 million of its funds to acquire 188 Bitcoin units.

The average Bitcoin price is $91,000 based on current market data. In total, Rumble allocated $20 million of its capital for Bitcoin purchases.

The company brings experience in handling large-scale industry operations to crypto. Stablecoin issuer Tether made a sizable $775 million investment in Rumble last year. The investment aided in improving Rumble’s financial stability.

And now, the company has begun exploring Bitcoin as a future-oriented preventive measure. It is using the cryptocurrency to safeguard its funds from inflationary pressures and currency value declines.

"I am personally very enthusiastic about this decision," said Chief Executive Officer Chris Pavlovski. "Bitcoin is a recognized and effective asset for providing protection against inflation. It is also an asset that remains unaffected by the issuance of excessive currency, which traditional government money is subject to."

"This aligns perfectly with Rumble's strategic objectives moving forward, as we aim to incorporate cryptocurrency features into the company's operational structure," Pavlovski concluded.

The company plans to monitor the market before buying more Bitcoin. This will involve keeping track of any fluctuations in the market and the macroeconomic environment.

The decision to adjust Bitcoin ownership and continue purchasing will depend on both Bitcoin’s market value and the economic circumstances alongside the company’s needs.

Finally, Rumble has complete control over the ability to temporarily suspend or actively manage their Bitcoin strategy whenever they choose.

This recent move comes amid a broader trend of tech companies adopting Bitcoin. Several businesses are recognizing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as valuable financial instruments.

If successful, Rumble's strategy might encourage other companies to follow suit. The crypto community and investors will be keeping a close eye on this development.

Companies are increasingly open to expanding their asset portfolios to include Bitcoin. A few organizations see Bitcoin as a reliable means to conserve value.

Some companies are using Bitcoin to reduce their financial dependence on conventional money. As more businesses embrace Bitcoin, it could expand its influence within the financial sector.

This move showcases strong financial initiative from Rumble as they integrate Bitcoin acquisition into their overall business plan. The company sees cryptocurrency as a fundamental component that will guide its future operations.

And as the crypto industry continues to grow, we may see more businesses making similar investments.
