Rice Robotics Partners with Floki to Launch a Floki-Themed Robot and RICE Token
Apr 29, 2025 at 07:23 am
Rice Robotics, a firm specializing in AI-powered robots, is partnering with Floki. The company will launch a Floki-themed robot and its own RICE token
Rice Robotics, a startup that builds AI-powered robots, is partnering with Floki (FLOKI) to launch a special edition companion robot.
The firm will also release its own RICE token, which will be airdropped to FLOKI.
The startup, which is also developing a DePin protocol, is best-known for its AI-powered companion robots. It will launch a limited-edition variant of its minibot, which will be named FLOKI M1.
The new bot will be powered by Rice AI's software and will come with a native integration for the Floki token. It will also be able to generate RICE, the startup's own token, which is being tokenized by TokenFi.
Those on the Rice Robotics waitlist and FLOKI holders will receive the RICE tokens in an airdrop. After this, the main way to farm new tokens will be through interacting with the physical robots.
The minibots can help users with tasks around the house, and they will pay users in RICE for interactions. Essentially, the Floki-themed robots will be used to collect human data for Rice AI's protocols.
Its services include a smart home assistant, smart shopping assistance, and a language learning companion.
Floki is known for its creative meme coin projects in Web3. The project is developing several utility-driven projects, such as its ventures into NFTs, gaming, and CeFi. It is also planning to launch an ETP in Europe.
Recently, Floki announced that it would be expanding into the metaverse with the launch of Flokiverse.
The startup is launching its RICE token with TokenFi, a tokenization platform that is part of the Floki ecosystem.
Earlier this year, Rice Robotics closed a $7 million Series A funding round. It is also a customer of SoftBank, which has a large investment in the startup. One of Rice Robotics's key investors is e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Rice Robotics is the parent company that makes the robots, but Rice AI focuses on the software and DePin protocol that powers these machines.
The startup's vision is to create an ecosystem of AI-powered robots that can interact with humans in a meaningful way. Its goal is to use this technology to improve the lives of people around the world.
