Rice Robotics and dog-themed utility project Floki will soon launch the Minibot M1

Crypto project Floki and robotics startup Rice Robotics will be releasing the Minibot M1, a small companion robot that will act as an ambassador for Floki and be powered by the RICE AI platform.

The project brings together Floki’s large and passionate community with Rice Robotics’ cutting-edge technology.

Floki will be supporting the company in its blockchain push as it moves towards tokenizing its brand and AI data marketplace through TokenFi, a Floki sister project focused on tokenizing real-world assets.

“The AI robotics market size is currently worth an estimated $22 billion and is projected to reach $100 billion by 2030, and we believe Rice Robotics is well-positioned for growth in this high-potential industry,” the Floki team told CoinDesk in a Telegram message.

Earlier this year, Rice Robotics raised over $7 million in a pre-Series A funding round. Among the participants were Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, Soul Capital and Audacy Ventures.

The startup's vision is to empower robots with intelligence by creating a system where they can autonomously buy and share premium training data in a decentralized manner.

This vision closely aligns with the ethos of Web3, enabling robots to learn and improve collectively without any central control, rendering them more capable in real-world applications.

Among the startup’s clients are Nvidia, Softbank, Dubai Future Foundation, Mitsui Fudosan, NTT Japan and 7-Eleven.

The startup is focused on developing advanced AI systems for robots, aiming to enhance their capabilities in areas such as object recognition, natural language processing and autonomous navigation.

These capabilities are crucial for robots to effectively interact with their surroundings and perform tasks in a manner that is both efficient and useful.
