Resolv Sees Its TVL Soar to $77M, Becoming the Sixth-Largest Basis Trading DeFi Protocol
Dec 13, 2024 at 04:55 pm
Resolv, a decentralized stablecoin protocol, saw its total value locked (TVL) reach a new all-time high of $77 million, as per DefiLlama.

A decentralized stablecoin protocol, Resolv, has hit a new all-time high in total value locked (TVL), reaching $77 million, according to data from DefiLlama.
Since the beginning of November, the platform’s TVL has increased by over 380%, making it one of the best-performing DeFi protocols on Ethereum.
A decentralized stablecoin called USR is offered by Resolv and is pegged to the US dollar with Ethereum serving as its complete backing. It makes use of Ethena’s delta-neutral design to maintain price stability and has an insurance pool for extra security and overcollateralization. Annual percentage yields (APYs) for Resolv Liquidity Pool (RLP) holders range from 15% to 70%.
The TVL of USR reserves has increased dramatically, reaching a record $40 million after beginning December at $13 million. DefiLlama included USR in June of this year with a beginning TVL of less than $9 million. All reserve deposits are made in Ethereum, the price of which has increased nearly threefold just in the last month.
On Wednesday, December 11, Resolv’s USR token had the best day in terms of ETH inflows, with over $8 million in crypto being deposited on the platform.
The insurance pool of Resolv, known as RLP, has seen its TVL increase to a record $36 million, up 56% since the beginning of December. The pool had a TVL of over $7 million on November 1. The RLP absorbs the risks of USR’s delta-neutral strategy, with potential losses being attributed to RLP holders only. In exchange for providing their protection, RLP holders receive generous yields.
On November 27, RLP saw record inflows when $4.4 million worth of tokens were added to the pool.
The pool’s present APY is 18%, down from 32% at the beginning of December. The fluctuating APY reached a record 1,100% at the beginning of November.
Resolv has risen to become the sixth-largest DeFi protocol in the Basis Trading category thanks to its recent growth, with Ethena in the lead with a record $5.7 billion.
