This move came shortly after the debut of PumpSwap, Pump.fun's DEX, which disrupted the previous dynamic between both platforms.

Raydium, the leading decentralized exchange in the Solana ecosystem, has introduced LaunchLab, a tool designed to simplify the creation of new tokens, aiming to regain ground lost to Pump.fun's rapid growth with PumpSwap.
The integration of Pump.fun tokens with Raydium, where tokens yanking over $69,000 in market capitalization would automatically migrate to the DEX, was a defining factor in their partnership. However, the launch of PumpSwap, Pump.fun's own DEX, in March ended this integration.
LaunchLab enables users to launch tokens directly connected to Raydium's liquidity pools and allows other platforms to set transaction fees. A portion of those fees, 25%, is allocated to buying back RAY. This feature introduces a direct value mechanism for the token, where economic incentives play a key role in competing in the market.
The tool had been in development for months and its release confirms Raydium's intention to challenge the ground Pump.fun has started to dominate within Solana. The race to attract new tokens and trading volume is intensifying, with the two platforms no longer sharing mutual interests.
The news of the launch had a positive impact on the RAY token, which rose by 8%, outperforming the broader crypto market. The token reached a value of $2.33 per unit and its market capitalization exceeded $680 million, while volume increased by 187%, surpassing $265 million, according to CoinMarketCap.
This development marks a major shift in the dynamic between the platforms, which were previously known for their close cooperation and integration. As both platforms strive for dominance within the Solana DeFi ecosystem, the coming months will be crucial in determining which platform emerges as the ultimate leader.
