Raydium Launches LaunchLab Meme Coin Launchpad to Directly Compete with Pump.fun
Mar 22, 2025 at 09:00 pm
This announcement comes just days after Pump.fun, which recently launched its own DEX, PumpSwap, is facing a revenue dip and increased competition in the Solana ecosystem.

The popular Solana-based meme coin launchpad Pump.fun is facing increased competition as Raydium, another established DEX on Solana, unveils its own token launch platform named LaunchLab.
This development comes amidst a recent revenue dip and rising competition in the Solana ecosystem for Pump.fun.
Despite attracting millions of users and generating over $600 million in revenue, most of the 8.7 million tokens created have lost value, with only four sustaining a market cap above $100 million.
This statistic reflects the difficulty in sustaining meme coin value despite the initial hype generated by Pump.fun.
In response to a nearly 60% drop in monthly revenue, Pump.fun announced the launch of its own DEX, PumpSwap, to streamline the token launch process.
This change eliminates the previous requirement for liquidity pools on Raydium, speeding up the new token launch.
Immediately after a token’s bonding curve is finished, the token is launched, and migrations between the platform and other chains now occur instantly without any fees.
Previously, this was a pain point for many users due to the 6 SOL migration fee charged by the platform.
In just 3 months;A total of 8.7 million “memecoins” were launched on @pumpdotfun, generating a total revenue of $600MOut of those 8.7M coins, only 4 managed to sustain a market cap level of $100M pic.twitter.com/bbhsIFo38Z
