Protocol Village: IoTeX 'DePIN Infrastructure Modules' to Reduce Development Time

Jul 18, 2024 at 01:39 am

The latest in blockchain tech upgrades, funding announcements and deals. For the period of July 18-24.

Protocol Village: IoTeX 'DePIN Infrastructure Modules' to Reduce Development Time

Web3 technology company IoTeX is launching the 2.0 version of its blockchain platform, which is designed to improve access to decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN) projects.

The platform will integrate with NEAR, Filecoin, RISC Zero and Espresso to enhance data availability, storage, computation and sequencing.

IoTeX 2.0 also introduces DePIN Infrastructure Modules (DIMs) and Modularity Security Pool (MSP) to reduce development costs and support the growth of DePIN projects.

blockchain tech updates

IoTeX, an Ethereum-compatible blockchain platform optimized for DePIN projects, is launching its 2.0 platform to democratize access to DePIN.

The platform will integrate with NEAR, Filecoin, RISC Zero, Espresso and more to enhance data availability, storage, computation and sequencing.

“IoTeX 2.0 features DIMs and MSP to cut development costs and support sustainable growth for DePIN projects, positioning itself as the largest decentralized hub for devices and data that will be deployed by both humans and AI agents,” the team said in a statement.

According to a press release: “The introduction of Modularity Security Pool (MSP) enables DePIN layer-1s to restake their Proof-of-Stake security to DIMs, fueling growth and fostering sustainability within the ecosystem. Projects can then gain immediate exposure, liquidity, and verification as they evolve. As they mature, DePIN projects can transition to their own DePIN-specific L2, achieving true sovereignty.”

Coinbase Cloud is launching a managed Filecoin service to help users deploy Filecoin nodes and participate in the decentralized storage network.

The service will handle tasks like hardware provisioning, software installation, maintenance and monitoring, enabling users to quickly deploy Filecoin nodes without needing to manage the technical details.

“Coinbase Filecoin will also provide Filecoin network monitoring, alerting, logging, and metrics collection, enabling users to easily observe the health of their Filecoin nodes and quickly identify any issues,” Coinbase said in a statement.

Coinbase Filecoin users will be able to choose between Filecoin Satellite (for light Filecoin node deployment) and Filecoin Retrieval (for deploying full Filecoin nodes for data retrieval).

The service is currently in beta and available to a limited number of users. Interested users can apply for early access on the Coinbase Filecoin website.

Coinbase also recently launched a managed Celo service, enabling users to quickly deploy Celo full nodes and participate in the Celo network.

The service handles tasks like hardware provisioning, software installation, maintenance and monitoring, enabling users to easily run Celo full nodes without needing to manage the technical details.

“This service will help developers get started with Celo quickly and easily, enabling them to build and deploy decentralized applications (dapps) on the Celo network,” Coinbull reported.

Coinbase Cloud also recently launched a managed Sui service, enabling users to quickly deploy Sui full nodes and participate in the Sui network.

The service handles tasks like hardware provisioning, software installation, maintenance and monitoring, enabling users to easily run Sui full nodes without needing to manage the technical details.

“This service will help developers get started with Sui quickly and easily, enabling them to build and deploy decentralized applications (dapps) on the Sui network,” Coinbull reported.

Coinbase also recently launched a managed Aptos service, enabling users to quickly deploy Aptos full nodes and participate in the Aptos network.

The service handles tasks like hardware provisioning, software installation, maintenance and monitoring, enabling users to easily run Aptos full nodes without needing to manage the technical details.

“This service will help developers get started with Aptos quickly and easily, enabling them to build and deploy decentralized applications (dapps) on the Aptos network,” Coinbull reported.

Coinbase also recently launched a managed Scroll service, enabling users to quickly deploy Scroll full nodes and participate in the Scroll network.

The service handles tasks like hardware provisioning, software installation, maintenance and monitoring, enabling users to easily run Scroll full nodes without needing to manage the technical details.

“This service will help developers get started with Scroll quickly and easily, enabling them to build and deploy decentralized applications (dapps) on the Scroll network,” Coinbull reported.

Coinbase also recently launched a managed StarkNet service, enabling users to quickly deploy StarkNet full nodes and participate in the StarkNet network.

The service handles tasks like hardware provisioning, software installation, maintenance and monitoring, enabling users to easily run StarkNet full nodes without needing to manage the technical details.

“This service will help developers get started with StarkNet quickly and easily, enabling them to build and deploy decentralized applications (dapps) on the StarkNet network,” Coinbull reported.

Coinbase also recently launched a managed Base service, enabling users to quickly deploy Base full nodes and participate in the Base network.
